How do I get a settlement letter or proof of loan closure?

Once your loan is fully repaid, we send you a confirmation email. You can also obtain a formal settlement letter or proof-of-closure document through your account or by contacting us directly.

Download from your account

Log in to your account and go to the Documents tab for the relevant loan. If the loan was closed within the last 90 days and the settlement letter has been generated, it will appear there as a PDF you can download immediately.

Request by email

If the document is not yet available in your account — for example, because the loan was repaid very recently or it closed more than 90 days ago — email us at support@credicorp.co.uk with:

  • The name on the account
  • Your company name and company number
  • The approximate date the loan was taken out (if you have it)
  • What the document is needed for (optional, but helps us provide the right format)

We aim to respond within two working days. For regulated purposes (such as mortgage applications, company audits or legal proceedings) we can issue a letter on headed paper confirmed by a director — just let us know in your request.

Early settlement figures

If you want to settle an active loan early and need a settlement figure before paying, you can request one from the same Documents section, or by emailing support. The figure is valid for five working days from the date we issue it. Once you have paid, we will send you a closure confirmation automatically.

Note on credit file records

If you need to demonstrate that a closed loan no longer appears on your credit file, you will need to check directly with the relevant credit reference agency (Experian, Equifax or TransUnion). We report loan closures to the agencies on the next scheduled reporting cycle, which may take up to 30 days from the date of closure to be reflected on your file.
