The Credicorp marks are protected under UK trademark and common law. Reading this page should take five minutes — and could save someone from a scam.
The Credicorp trademark
CREDICORP is an unregistered trademark of Credicorp Limited (UK company number 16093826). The trademark covers our wordmark, the navy + lime colour pair, the rounded "C" mark and the marketing phrase "Fast, fair business loans" as used together with the wordmark.
We use the brand under common-law rights as a working business name. A formal UK Intellectual Property Office registration in class 36 (financial services) is in progress and the page will be updated with the registration number when it issues.
How we protect the brand
- Companies House. Credicorp Limited is registered with Companies House — anyone can verify our identity, registered office and officers on the public register.
- Domain ownership. credicorp.co.uk is the only customer-facing domain we operate. Anything from a different domain claiming to be Credicorp is not us.
- IPO registration. An application to the UK Intellectual Property Office has been filed in class 36 (insurance, financial, monetary and real-estate services). Pending registration we rely on common-law rights based on continuous trading use since 2024.
- WIPO Global Brand Database listing. Once registered, the mark will be visible on the WIPO Global Brand Database for cross-border enforcement.
- Active monitoring. We monitor domain registrations, app stores and the Companies House register for confusingly similar names and act on misuse.
- Anti-impersonation. Every public email comes from a credicorp.co.uk address, and our staff portal pages are watermarked. We do not call from withheld numbers and we never ask for full bank passwords.
What is permitted
- Referring to "Credicorp" in news, reviews, comparison content or factual reporting — provided the reference is accurate and not misleading.
- Using the logo provided on the assets page in articles, presentations or partner integrations where Credicorp is the subject. Keep the clear-space rules from the style guide.
- Linking to credicorp.co.uk with the text "Credicorp" or "Credicorp Limited".
What is not permitted
- Using the Credicorp name, logo or colour pair in a way that suggests you are us, are endorsed by us, or are an official partner without a written agreement.
- Registering domain names that include "credicorp" or close misspellings (credicorp-loans, credi-corp, kredicorp etc.) for any purpose other than fair journalistic reference.
- Building software, apps, browser extensions or chat assistants that use the Credicorp brand to imply they speak for us.
- Using the marks in advertising for products or services that compete with Credicorp.
- Modifying the logo — changing the colours, adding effects, stretching it or recolouring the lime to a different shade.
Reporting infringement or impersonation
If you believe someone is using the Credicorp name or marks to impersonate us — for example a fake loan offer, a phishing email, a cloned website or a social account claiming to be us — please tell us straight away. We work with our IP solicitors, Action Fraud, the National Cyber Security Centre and the ICO to take action.
How to report:
- Email: legal@credicorp.co.uk with the subject line "Trademark — infringement report".
- Include the offending URL, a screenshot if you can, and the date you noticed it. If you have correspondence (an email, a screenshot of a chat), please attach it.
- If you have already lost money, also report to Action Fraud (0300 123 2040) and your bank.
We try to acknowledge every report within 2 business days.
