Several large UK charities offer completely free, independent and confidential debt advice. We will work with whichever provider you choose and you do not need to tell us in advance.
What is a Debt Management Plan and how does it affect my loan?
A Debt Management Plan (DMP) is an informal arrangement, usually through a free advice provider, to pay your debts at a reduced rate. We will engage with your provider and pause normal collection contact while a DMP is being agreed.
I am struggling to pay — what should I do?
Please contact us as early as you can. We can look at a payment arrangement, a short extension or a hardship variation so your repayments better fit your circumstances.
What is a hardship variation?
A hardship variation changes your repayment terms when illness, job loss or another event means you genuinely cannot meet your current schedule.
Can I get a payment extension?
A payment extension moves a due date a short way forward when a one-off event means you need a little more time. Request one before the payment is due.
I need extra support — how do I tell you?
If a health condition, bereavement, caring responsibility or other circumstance means you need us to do things differently, let us know and we will adjust how we work with you.
