Before you create an account
Credicorp Limited lends to UK incorporated bodies corporate (Ltd, LLP, PLC) only. You are registering as the director or officer of the borrowing company, not as a personal borrower. The director who signs is not personally liable for the loan and no personal guarantee is taken.
We collect personal identifiers (legal name, date of birth, National Insurance number) for identity verification only. They are not shared with consumer credit reference agencies. Repayment performance is reported to business credit reference agencies under your company's record.
We hold one account per person — checked against your email, mobile and bank account. If you have applied before, sign in to your existing account instead.
Before you apply — please read
Who can apply
This product is available only to UK incorporated bodies corporate (Ltd, LLP, PLC). The application must be made by a director, member or officer of the company with authority to bind it. You will be asked to confirm that authority during the application.
Business purpose declaration
You will be asked to declare, at signing, that the loan is being taken wholly or predominantly for the purposes of the company's trade or business. Loans taken for personal purposes — even in the company name — fall outside our lending criteria and will be recalled.
No personal guarantee
The company alone is the borrower. We do not ask for, and will not accept, a personal guarantee from the director or any other officer. If the company defaults, our recovery is against the company's assets only.
Credit checks and reporting
We perform credit checks against business credit reference agencies, including Experian Business, Creditsafe and Equifax Business. We report repayment performance to those same agencies. We do not perform consumer credit checks on directors and we do not report to consumer credit reference agencies.
Your right to withdraw
As a matter of policy — not regulatory obligation, since this is unregulated business lending — we grant a 14-day withdrawal right, beginning the day after you sign the agreement. If you choose to withdraw within that period, you repay any principal drawn plus interest accrued for the days the funds were held; the establishment fee is refunded.
Total cost cap
The total amount your company will repay under any single agreement, including interest and fees of every kind, is capped at 100% of the principal. You will never repay more than double the amount advanced on a single loan.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please write to complaints@credicorp.co.uk in the first instance. We aim to acknowledge complaints within three business days and to provide a final written response within eight weeks. As this is unregulated lending to a body corporate, the Financial Ombudsman Service cannot consider complaints about it; if you remain unhappy after our final response, the next step is the courts.
Because this is unregulated business lending to a body corporate (outside Articles 60B and 60L of the FSMA Regulated Activities Order 2001), disputes about this product are not eligible for the Financial Ombudsman Service and are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Our internal complaints process is the final stage of escalation. Companies may also have remedies through the courts.
Data protection
Personal data captured during the application (director name, contact details, identification) is processed in accordance with our privacy policy. Company data and repayment data is shared with business credit reference agencies and may be retained for up to six years after the agreement ends.
