# Introducing the Credicorp app

We have published the Credicorp app — an installable version of the customer portal that runs on iPhone, Android and desktop browsers without going through an app store.

### What it is

The app is a Progressive Web App. You install it straight from the browser — Add to Home Screen on iOS, Install App in the menu on Android and desktop Chrome / Edge. Once installed, it has its own icon and runs in its own window. The same secure session as the website is used; there is no separate password.

### Why we built it

Customers asked for a single tap-in to the portal rather than typing the URL and signing in each time. The app gives that without forcing anyone to download a 30 MB package from an app store, and without us collecting anything new about the device.

### What you can do in it

The same things you can do in the website portal: dashboard, loan details, make a payment, apply for a top-up, statements, messages, profile and security. The bottom navigation is Home, Loans, Notifications and Profile; a “+” button at the bottom-right opens the most frequent actions (make a payment, apply, new support ticket, view statements). Sign-out is reachable in one tap from the top-right.

### Updates

The app updates automatically in the background. When a new version is ready, a small banner asks you to reload. Your work is saved.

### Questions

If something doesn’t work the way you expect, the Profile tab has an “Open in web browser” button so you can use the website version for that task while we look into it. Get in touch through the in-app Messages or the Contact page.
